OUR CODE OF CONDUCT

With the DREHTAINER Code of Conduct, the DREHTAINER GmbH management expressly acknowledges its social responsibility in the context of its business activities. Every day, we take responsibility for the processes in our company, for our products, for our business relationships, for our employees, and for the environment and society.
2. EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL EMPLOYEES
Equal rights and equal appreciation for all are important basic values for us. Every employee is given the same career advancement and development opportunities and is not disadvantaged on the basis of their gender, social background, religion, nationality, age or disability.
4. COMPLIANCE WITH OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY STANDARDS
The health of our employees is our top priority. We are therefore committed to complying with the applicable laws and regulations on occupational safety and accident prevention. We report possible sources of accidents immediately to our respective supervisor or eliminate them ourselves as soon as possible..
5. ENVIRONMENTAL AND CLIMATE PROTECTION
We act in a sustainable and environmentally conscious manner and ensure that the applicable laws, internal guidelines and environmental protection regulations are complied with in our area of work.
Every employee is responsible for treating natural resources with care and contributing to the protection of the environment and climate through their individual behavior.
9. DEALING WITH DONATIONS FROM THIRD PARTIES
We strictly reject donations from third parties if they are linked to a specific consideration or could be interpreted as an attempt to influence us. Irrespective of this, all benefits from third parties must be rejected if they violate internal guidelines or laws. Benefits, such as invitations or gifts, may generally only be accepted if they are within reasonable limits and comply with the above guidelines.
10. DUTY OF CONFIDENTIALITY REGARDING COMPANY AND BUSINESS DATA
We undertake to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding company and business data, even beyond the employment relationship. Internal company data may neither be used for our own interests nor made accessible to third parties. This confidentiality applies equally to information that we receive from our customers, suppliers or business partners.
SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT
The code of conduct of our suppliers.
Our Supplier Code of Conduct is intended to provide our suppliers and business partners with guidance on how to avoid undesirable actions. Our aim is to ensure sustainable procurement in compliance with minimum social and ecological requirements throughout the entire DREHTAINER GmbH supply chain. DREHTAINER values good relationships with its suppliers and business partners and expects them to comply with and support the principles of this DREHTAINER Supplier Code of Conduct. We are guided by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and its goals with regard to human rights, labor standards, environment and climate as well as business ethics. We also expect compliance with the fundamental conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and applicable national and local laws and regulations.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
The health and safety of all employees is a valuable asset for DREHTAINER GmbH. It is therefore a matter of course for us that we also expect our suppliers and business partners to take care of the health and safety of their employees and to ensure that the necessary training has been carried out before work activities begin. Our business partners must promote the health and safety of their employees and comply with health and safety regulations in order to reduce the risk of accidents.
HUMAN RIGHTS
We expect our suppliers to respect internationally recognized human rights and working conditions. DREHTAINER and its business partners are opposed to any form of discrimination. Business partners must support and respect the human rights principles of the UN Global Compact (Principles 1 and 2) and the labor principles of the UN Global Compact (Principles 3, 4, 5 and 6).
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Furthermore, suppliers must not use any materials that are considered harmful to the environment. The supplier must respect and support the environmental principles of the UN Global Compact (Principles 7, 8 and 9). Furthermore, we expect the supplier to comply with all applicable laws and regulations on conflict minerals and to ensure that conflict materials (including tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold) used in the products they manufacture do not directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups that violate serious human rights. We welcome our business partners to establish and maintain an appropriate environmental management system (e.g. in accordance with ISO 14001 or a national equivalent).
BUSINESS ETHICS
Anti-corruption and anti-bribery The Supplier shall not engage in or tolerate any form of corruption, extortion, embezzlement or bribery. All applicable anti-corruption and anti-bribery regulations shall be complied with, including Principle 10, (Anti-Corruption) of the UN Global Compact. The Supplier shall not offer or accept benefits or other unlawful inducements in order to obtain an unfair or improper advantage. Gifts and favors In order to avoid undesirable conflicts of interest, the supplier may not offer DREHTAINER employees any gifts, favors, services or inappropriate invitations. Offering a gift in the form of a monetary payment is not permitted under any circumstances. Combating money laundering Our suppliers and business partners must conduct all their business in accordance with applicable anti-money laundering regulations.
DATA PROTECTION AND INFORMATION SECURITY
Our suppliers and business partners must treat and protect confidential and other proprietary information that they receive in the course of their business relationship with us with absolute confidentiality. Sensitive information of any kind may neither be used to pursue our own interests nor made accessible to third parties. We also guarantee this confidentiality to the same extent to our business partners and protect information that we receive from them. We support the security of data and its processing through appropriate technical and organizational measures. Our suppliers and business partners must ensure that all data is processed in accordance with the applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679).
REPORTING VIOLATIONS AND DUTY TO COOPERATE
Suppliers and business partners of DREHTAINER GmbH are obliged to report their own violations and/or violations by third parties of this Code of Conduct to DREHTAINER GmbH, to cooperate unconditionally and to actively investigate them. If, in the event of suspicion, they do not sufficiently fulfill their obligation to clarify and cooperate, DREHTAINER may terminate the business relationship with immediate effect on the basis of existing contractual or statutory rights. In the event of a breach of this Code of Conduct, DREHTAINER reserves the right to take further legal action, in particular claims for damages.
